They definitely do in order to accommodate the age we are in. Kids who have access to food should have means available to them. Maybe a set time window. It can’t just be a big “no”.
The way you framed the tweet makes the teacher look like an ass for taking away student’s lunch. School lunch is nasty these days. But why deny a child lunch because you don't like how they procured it? I used my old block cellphone to order Chinese all the time in high school (mid 00s). Never an issue.
