When I was dating this guy a couple months ago he became enraged when I told him that his devotion and interest in the lives of celebrities is a reflection of his need to feel important b/c nothing of significance was happening in his own. Did I lie?

Lmao. I mean it goes for anybody who has the habit of investing themselves in the personal lives of others. Someone who is living a happy fulfilling life is not constantly looking at the failures and accomplishments of others.
-
Its a slippery slope. One would ask how do you know where you lack or have privilege in your life if you don’t look at he lives of others, but there is always a balance of energies. People get past healthy comparison and then wonder why they ain’t got shit.
-
I don’t really personally need to know where i lack or have privilege in comparison to others. I’m capable of being thankful and ambitious without outside influence. You know i be on my individualistic shit lmao.
-
Yes but the brain is taking in so much unknowingly. The unconscious is always doing her thing but we make conscious choices and that’s real tea! Controlling what you can control and leaving the rest >
-
Tea. The moral is that i don’t criticize others before criticizing myself. In most cases it will keep me from saying anything at all b/c after a good self read i realize i don’t have the clearance to speak.
