1. Price point. Either the price is too low (less than $20) or too high (close to $100). This depends on the practitioner. Tarot/oracle/numerology rarely gets to the $100+ range. Expect to pay $100+ for astrology and readings having to do with specific religions.

2. Look at their twitter. What do they talk about? Are they always tweeting about woo woo stuff? Do they talk about their life outside of woo woo? If not? Might wanna reconsider.

3. Always offering a special. If they’re constantly offering $15 readings on the timeline, they are probably strapped for cash and want volume. All real readers value quality > quantity. No reader wants to have dozens of folks waiting on us.

*Now don’t get this confused with the folk that offer simple card readings during certain astrological phenomenon (Mercury Rx/Full Moons/etc). That is completely different and you should take advantage.

4. Do your own research. Do NOT go to a stranger for guidance having to do with astrology/tarot/numerology without first doing your own exploring. The ignorant are easy to exploit, I was once new to this and was exploited. Ask someone! Ask google!

5. ASK THE READER HOW LONG THEYVE BEEN READING FOR AND IF THEY HAVE CERTS IF ITS ASTROLOGY! This is akin to going to your doctors office and seeing their degree on the wall. You are entitled to know!

6. Only using Venmo/Cashapp. If that’s a “reader’s” SOLE form of processing payments? You might wanna reconsider if you’ve seen other red flags. We have so many ways to create shops online. If they can’t legitimize the business, what makes you think they are legit?

7. ALWAYS READING. Like a maniac. Everyone needs a break. This goes back to paying attention to people. We all need rest. Most readers take periodic sabbaticals because it is draining after a while. If you know? You know.

8. Generic timeline readings. Timeline readings will always be more vague than personal readings, because duh. But if it looks like a damn fortune cookie??pic.twitter.com/B6TCx9vOEC

9. Take accountability for your damn self! If you went to get a $15 reading haphazardly you need to eat that. You have all the answers already. You just want to hear someone else say it. Learning how not to be a fool is a valuable lesson to yourself and your growth.

10. EXPOSE THEM WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER THEM. Don’t let the amount of followers and people they have hypnotized make you feel bad for calling out unethical spiritual practices.
