Getting over certain milestones should make you more compassionate, but I find it has made me less compassionate in some areas. Like, “I did xyz, why can’t you? You are weak.” I don’t think this is good.

Why do you think it should make you more compassionate? And are you empathetic towards people still?

Well, struggle should make you understand that things are difficult. It shouldn’t make you annoyed that some people don’t beat certain circumstances.

I think it can be both. I’ve noticed my empathy has qualifiers now and that also helps me from becoming a martyr. I see some people not where they want to be not only because of life being hard, but their decisions to go about it.
