People, men especially, say they want vulnerability from women. Openness. Receptivity. All of the things that constitute “femininity” and then call you or look at you as weak for expressing it.

For black women especially, we struggle with trying to be seen as “feminine”. We try, but as soon as we get passionate about something the way that we do, all of a sudden, that femininity is stripped away from us like New New in Atlanta.pic.twitter.com/I90AHzrZWo

With black women we are strong first and have to prove our femininity. All other groups of women are feminine first and have to prove their strength. What a mind fuck.
