I’ve been trying to clear the scarring up on my back since my bout with bacne two years ago and I’m proud to say my scars are almost undetectable. People who’ve never had real issues with their skin really don’t understand how much it affects your self esteem.
For 2 years I’ve been self conscious about my back. Buying clothes that i know would cover up the scars/breakouts. Not wanting to go to the pool because of people possibly talking about my back. It’s crippling.

And when I was younger I would see people with skin issues and think those thoughts about it looking disgusting and that was so unfair of me because knowing what I know now, they probably felt worse than I thought.

So just think about the people with serious skin issues when you complain about your temporary breakouts and insignificant scars. You’re self conscious about one pimple when people have it tenfold.
