People that don’t “go out” don’t understand how cathartic it is for those of us that revel in it. It’s so many levels to “going out” I don’t know when it became “lame” to wanna go out and dance. Especially with fellow black folk. I love it.

I love getting ready to go to the club. Be feeling like Usher in “You Don’t Have To Call”. Just love getting ready. Getting pretty. Washing off the week and stepping into my TRUE form. Doing my makeup. Doing my hair. Having FULL autonomy.

Then meeting with my friends. Being happy to see my tribe. Loving on them with libations in tow. Undefeated. Dancing with them. Dancing with strangers. Just the camaraderie is enough.

Yes it has its flaws and men can be so annoying and invasive at the club but usually they move around and will leave me alone. Besides that I really have no complaints. Me + Music = Dancing & Singing freely.
