*deep sigh* it is like every other album Nicki has ever released ever. A few bops. A few hitters. But lackluster lyrical content lending to no type of connection to Nicki as an artist. It’s so disappointing how she refuses to grant her listeners some semblance of who she is.https://twitter.com/BlackGirlFlow/status/1034594913676079105 …
I listened. I tapped my foot here and there. A few tracks are really cute but the majority of the project is just fluff. Nicki has been able to not only succeed but THRIVE off of fluff for almost 10 years. I cannot understand the logic. This is who she really is as an artist.

And all of the above, I can accept. But what I can’t accept is all of the above that cries about not being treated fairly while putting other women inside and out of the industry down because SHE FAILED TO SELL.

You failed to connect. You failed to garner a fan base that would stick with you while you figure out your sound. Many of us privy to old Nicki (Beam Me Up) stayed with her til around the second album. But we grew up and realized she really sucked.

She only thrives in competition on records. If there’s no one right next to her on a track, she’s lazy. You shouldn’t always need opposition to be inspired. Something’s gotta give. Motivate yourself Nicki or move around.
