Benevolent sexism is a funnyyyyyyy thing. It’s a way for “good guys” to act on their sexist nature.

Just like the new age woman is expected to be financially independent while being able to maintain families and relationships. Why shouldn’t men be expected to hold their end of that bargain and be a provider while maintaining relationships at a lower level than women?!

I am not one of those feminists that wants to be seen completely independent of men. Why? Because I date men and men owe me things when they date me. There’s nothing wrong with being a feminist who admits that.

I subscribe to benevolent sexism by expecting men to pay for things. I can admit that I’m attracted to that type of sexism. But there’s a difference between subscribing to it and using it as a form of manipulation.

I’m not hiding my intentions with men when they take me out and/or pay for things. Men on the other hand will act as if sex/other labor is not what they’re looking for but use what they’re willing to pay/provide as a means to get what they said they don’t need.
