When we are ready to talk about the nature of authentic “preference” vs preference based on societal bias... these types of conversations will yield results. The truth is there’s no such thing as having a true preference unless your preference is for groups deemed less by society https://twitter.com/sarafromda_206/status/1018180226776379392 …
Preference based on societal standards: Thinner women, white/lighter women, women who look racially ambiguous, “good hair”. You didn’t tell yourself those traits were attractive. They were pushed upon you and you conformed. Of course you don’t feel bad because society says yes.

Then you have preference on a scientific scale: liking women with bigger boobs because milk production, women with hourglass shapes showing signs of fertility, women with bigger hips/butts to show ability to carry & birth children, etc.

Now unless you have gone against the societal norms of what’s attractive, your “preference” is really just conformity and you need to be okay with that. Sitting in that. Admitting that. And eating your food when the rest of us are talking.
