It’s app net I’m thinking about today - which allowed an ad-free experience for a small fee. Ended up shutting down. Did anyone study that? I wonder what the appetite is like now, years later, for a subscription model?

Anecdotally, I’d be interested in paid versions of Twitter & Instagram now (less ads, true reverse-chrono) but even a couple of years ago I could not have afforded it.
