@FariBrad? You mean military drones killing thousands of people in general, surely? I'd take a stab and say the objective here is to save lives. Its like saying helicopters that firebomb bushfires won't make up for all the people that died in a war that uses helicopters. -
Yes exactly. But I just don't want drones to become normalised as part of our daily lives, aside from the sound pollution there's also the invasion of privacy, as they film everything.

To paraphrase: Commercial drone deploys life saving device to drowning person. You don't like drones & label them child killers because of noise and privacy invasion? I understand the concern, but this opinion seems a little narrow minded.

well, twitter is a narrow tool. I'm saying exactly what I first tweeted to
@boingboing, that celebrating the few good things that drones do, doesn't make them acceptable. Guns save lives as well as kill, but they are not part of everyday life in the UK, for example
