        tricky, but there are some rules like in Latin languages to indicate if they're hard or soft (e.g. e, ä, i, ö afterwards is normally soft) I think the 'sj', 'sk', 'skj', 'sj', 'kj' are bollocks

        Yeah my missus comes frome a place with the 'köp' in it. I've just been learning as I hear it and when I read Swedish I get totally confused by those crazy combos. I've had the benefit of learning French/Spanish which will affect my opinion.
