Slightly misleading article. Right or wrong, it’s legal because it’s no different from a human doing a survey on site. No personal data is stored. No person can be “tracked” or recognised again. It stores “1:25pm, male, probably 35”. Any onlooker can make the same assessment.

Would agree and depending on the vendor/system it would maintain users’ anonymity and just be aggregating the the user demographics & behavior data. My colleague came back from a conference and is looking to implement for our digital signage to see if they’re effective/useful.
