Not entirely agree with this, what asymptomatic means and how we use it in practice is extremely different, especially in malaria research this has become evident.

I think we have to use the appropriate words in the appropriate contexts; clinical, epidemiological, modelling, etc. Clearly a spectrum between asymptomatic <->subclinical<->clinical with nuance.

I think the word "mutant" which media use a lot, is also the source of panic. They say it like mutation is something strange and uncommon.
