who else isn't shocked that journalists (who for the most part, couldn't cut it in STEM fields, hence why they majored in journalism) write incorrect headlines about science?
Journalists need to have some domain expertise when reporting on topics with some complexity, otherwise, they'll make absurd errors as Andy Gregory did in the cited article.

Let's worry about Omicron, and not spend time fretting over how people will feel or react to the news. And for those of you worried about vaccine hesitancy, let's not pretend massaging the message will help much.
