Amazing that Wikipedia is your basis of numbers. Excessive incarceration of black men is something I agree with. But any numbers coming out of China are fabrication. Look what they are doing to Jack Ma, who is almost in house arrest. Effectively all 1.3 billion Chinese are!

These are terrorist attacks the US State Dept has acknowledged. What does Jack Ma have to do with anything? I could say look at Julian Assange or a whole host of others. 1.3 billion on house arrest? wtf are you even talking about.

They effectively are if they have to live with that implicit threat all the time. Did you forget Tiananmen Square events. Did you not see how they got HongKong. What will it take for you- a full blown attack and occupation of Taiwan?

A colony that was taken by British warships to sell opium to the mainland during a horrific drug trade that devastated China. They got their colony back and rightly so. Tiananmen Square was over 30yrs ago, but you ignore events in the US from just this past year.

You have really subscribed to Chinese version of the argument and completely disregarded the will plus freedom of people in HongKong. So you should have no problem if SF and Chicago become federally administered zones as local governments are ineffective in keeping law & order.

No, I read history and don't support colonizers. It's that simple. The US and UK supported and funded the separatist movement. Only 17% of Hongkongers want independence from China, but YOU think you know what's best for them.https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2020/01/02/interesting-poll-shows-hong-kongers-not-exactly-against-china/?sh=3038c3a73b1a …

We all have seen initial protests. 17% are brave young souls. The others are suppressed by heavy hand of China or are old. It’s not difficult to understand. At least try. I don’t know what’s best for them and neither do you. So why this passionate defense of CCP actions?

"The others are suppressed by heavy hand of China or are old." Why bother just making things up? You picked a side and will stop at no rationalization to protect it. "why this passionate defense of CCP actions?" Why defend lies? I live in reality, not propaganda.

But you are living the Chinese propaganda and believe it wholeheartedly. Honestly I have picked a side and that is out of SF. China is free to do what they want to in their country. I am free to not believe their narrative and I don’t.
