Good to hear you've already disputed. If you want to reach out to the company that claimed your video, we can provide a contact email over DM.
Keep in mind that revenue earned by your videos is held separately until the end of the dispute process. Also, if you want to learn more about how your video was claimed, here's a good video:http://youtu.be/9g2U12SsRns
They completely wash their hands of this, they will outright tell you they dont handle copyright issues... meaning fuck us
Youtube seriously need to get their act together. Its not like you are uploading an entire episode of thr flash on their website. your videos are entertaining and they need to see that.they shouldnt give everyone the right to copyright claim everything
Completely agree man. They're all transformative, and do not infringe on copyright law at all. Yet @TeamYouTube allow anyone to claim ownership over a video, putting the creator second, even if it doesn't break fair use copyright law.
As one of your biggest and oldest fans this is upsetting to see. If they get taken down for this how are your fans going to be able to watch the videos that they love if they've been taken down, how are YOU going to grow if your videos are taken down...
My videos wont get taken down but they wont be monetised by me. If I wanted to appeal/dispute that, I would receive a strike and by just disputing 3 of those 67 videos..3 strikes would mean channel suspended. Content ID is the way YT protect the works of others, but it's flawed.
This is bonkers! I do notice that YouTube is getting worse about this kind of stuff but the question is why?! It's really just getting out of hand.
But the algorithm is sooooo much better, right? #sarcasm
