As someone who worked in health care but had zero patient contact (grant writer), and was officed in a separate (but adjacent) building to the hospital, I was required to get a flu shot (and be current in all other vax). It was a no brainer; it helped keep everyone healthier.

Fully support the right of citizens to refuse vaccination, for better or worse. But it has amazed me this isn't mandatory in multiple industries including health care. Employment is voluntary. A good move. Mom has stage 4 NSCLC, could not endure even mild disease. It matters.

No, no no to religious exemptions. You can chose. You don't get to say that your religion means you can put others at risk. For health, I would assume only for staff with immune compromised health and very limited list.
