This is so bizarre I’ve followed the dude’s work for years. Consistently complimented him on it. Share his videos all the time. Disagree politely only ONCE = immediately get called dishonest and manipulative, hit with backhanded remark about “keeping my feelings in check”. Lol

I also like how he offered me to come on the show and ignored every single instance when I said “sure let’s do it”, and also ignored all of my DMs — I’m wondering if he’ll try to spin this into “YOU ALL SAW IT I GAVE HIM A CHANCE, HE DIDNT WANT TO”

I guess this speaks to the toxicity of the social commentary environment — I understand this guy is attacked by his ideological opponents constantly, which makes him perhaps unable to discern between friend and foe and feels the need to strike back at any perceived slight

But being that I have been a vocal fan of the guy for literally years, I’m impressed he wouldn’t back down when I plainly said “hey dude. Was that really necessary? Come on” Off to unsubscribe I guess. I’ll accept differences of opinion, but not uncalled for disrespect.

I’ve always considered this guy very intellectually honest but seeing how he’s unwilling to back down on such an irrelevant hill, this taints his channel in my view. That unwavering need to be RIGHT doesn’t bode well for one’s integrity

Also may this serve as a reminder. I’ve been an asshole to people who disagreed, too. I too many a time heard someone say that I was being unnecessarily harsh. Though this was more of a thing in my past than today, it’s good to get the perspective from the other side

All of this to say; this is why my shift from social commentary to gaming is the right move for me Social commentary rottens one’s environment. We look into the abyss too long.
