Hey can we stop using glossy paper for art books cause it makes it HARDER to see the work with all the light reflecting off and what not just one of my lil buggaboos how you guys doin tho?

glossy is a way to mask any print imperfections as well as make the contrast higher, colors bolder. for actual quality, a lustre paper or properly calibrated machine printing on high quality acid free ultra-white (98 or better) matte paper will look best without tricks.
Yes. I use matte for my own prints, but luster is the way to go. I've got this nice-ass Moab Velvet Matte Fine Art paper but I can't imagine how expensive it would be to print a whole book like that.

it would be insane. but it would look amazing :) i print my watercolor prints on coldpress.. stuff costs me $5 a sheet not including ink.. but that gamut range.. oh man!
