I refuse to pay for it on principle that background play used to be a free feature.
YOUTUBE RED ISNT FOR SHOWS. DONT BUY IT FOR THAT. Buy it for NO ADS, a PLAY MUSIC SUBSCRIPTION (solid Spotify alternative), listen to videos with the SCREEN OFF, and save videos for OFFLINE VIEWING on mobile. I wish they promoted these features over their original series.

Literally the only reason I pay for it is so I can support creators without having ads. The other stuff is just a nice bonus.

While I don’t mind ads (mostly for supporting content creators) its the saving videos to view offline and video viewing while screen is locked/off that tempts me to it - not things like Game Theory Red series *yawn*
