because the original pokémon snap was extremely difficult and sometimes it’s nice to have a challenge that is also cute. if pikachu didn’t look happy in the only shot you got of him you had to start over

Difficult shouldn't be "do this very specific thing that was never learned or expected of you to figure out on your own" It's not so much a game as it is an on-rails I SPY But don't get me wrong, 10 year old me had fun.
