A step outside the echo chamber: The opposition thinks Net Neutrality gives too much power to the government, and that's why we are where we are. Like all things, it became a political issue and not a humanitarian issue, so now it's caught up in all this bureaucratic bickering.

The way we find out is with a repeal of net neutrality. The dystopian style posts of pay $1 for this page to load could be a possible future, but so could lower prices better infrastructure and connections. We don't really know if we refuse to attempt change.

That's not to say I'm for or against it, I'm really torn. I don't see the net being treated as a utility currently. Under Title II it is categorized as a utility so for gov't purposes it is. I can't change my ISP like my electricity and get a very similar service though...
