does anyone know if the pre-roll house ads/previews placed before hbo shows are hard coded or dynamically linked in web streams?

concensus is that pre-roll is hardcoded into VOD streams. boggles my mind that the entire HBO library gets reencoded regularly

Long story short it’s backend voodoo. The content provider doesn’t alter their film besides maybe mark where a commercial break should go
