        turns out a lot of USB TYPE-C external drives use USB 3.0 controllers in them, so transfer speeds are exactly the same. Be carefulpic.twitter.com/BfUyWI896u

        also, the real win for USB-C is meant to be Thunderbolt 3... which tops out at 40gb/s...
