      Fun fact: This makes your secondary switch console basically useless since you can't start non-cardridge-based games anymore...

      So, if you have 2 Switches and both are logged into the same account then you can NOT play different games on both Switches?

      You CAN, but your secondary console can't play non-cartridge games unless it's connected to the network, because it has to verify you own the game. It's some weird anti-piracy thing. But game cards will work no problem.

      Your secondary switch can only play games if it's connected to the internet so it's best to just leave it at home docked
