Hello content creator pals, Just wondering how you all go about dealing with DMs? I'm noticing that as my brand grows, I get a lot of unnecessary DMs that can lead to issues. Eg: underage kids constantly messaging trying to say hello, people asking for specialised videos... 1/2

I'm on board with trying to be as accessible as possible for the people who send legit DMs about relevant things, however with FB Twitter and Insta pages I'm finding all 3 to be a bit of an overwhelm. What do you all do? Just ignore/close DMs completely? I'd love to know! 2/2

My DMs are set to “open” but people I don’t follow go under “Message Requests.” I read every DM I get but I don’t engage with most because, unfortunately, once you respond they leave the “message requests” folder and end up in the general folder, (1/?)

And some people get a little too excited when they get a response and decide to bomb you with messages. So I generally just avoid responding unless its a question I like or I dont think they’ll bomb my DMs after.

Yep, totally get that! If I’m gonna respond to a DM I’m usually talking business or query-wise, not as a B-grade Internet celebrity haha
