Do you think devs will actually use the cross generational option for their games
HDMI 2.1 has the bandwidth to handle 4k120fps and 8k60fps. I’m sure most games will just be 4k60 and we’ll be happy with it Xbox exclusives like Halo Infinite will be cross generational. 8K really isn't necessary.

Yeah especially when most ppl don't even have 4k, its more for future proofing. I doubt many games will support it at launch...

Although none of this stuff is new compared to pc stuff it's really nice to see it simplified and automatically done. Sometimes I sit fighting my pc settings trying to get things to work

To be honest, I'm just hoping for decent 1440p support from the next gen consoles. I know it's more of a PC resolution, and my mClassic makes a big difference, but for those of us who have our consoles at our desks, it would be nice to have that intermediate resolution support.
