Alright buckos, I need to update my hackintosh from High Sierra up to Catalina sometime next week. What type of dumb bullshit should I be anticipating will go wrong?

A lot of steam games won't work because Catalina doesn't support 32 bit programs anymore So if you had Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy you'd better play them now

I still haven't updated to Catalina because I didn't want to risk it breaking any apps I use and don't feel like looking into whether it will or not

Likely it won’t break apps you’re using since 32bit has been outdated for over a decade. But the install process might bork up and not tell you resulting in random beachballs. A reinstall seems to fix this but AFAIK it’s susceptible to the issues requiring multiple reinstalls
