Since when did liking or disliking a movie or tv show become a political commentary? Maybe its just good or maybe it just sucks

Film creators sometimes express political positions either through, or in connection with, a film, and opinions on the end product can be seen as endorsing/rejecting those views. I think politics are just one aspect of a film, though (that I'd normally rather not think about).
You can like a piece of media without expressing the same political views as the piece of media, if there even are any at all, is what I’m saying

I agree. I think part of growing up is realizing that most everything has good and bad aspects, and learning the maturity to fairly admit to it.

I'd just rather not have to think about politics at all when watching entertainment.

The fact that you are overlooking a political view, regardless of if you agree or not, is a form of statement. Its really stupid for someone to base their opinion of someone off of that tho
