If I recall correctly, I dont think Ninja was on board with them promoting his channel via ads on other peoples streams either. That's just another example of shitty twitch being shitty.
Twitch has a history of being petty with streamers who leave the platform (withholding payment, canceling contracts early). These people should just have their partnership revoked if they break an exclusivity clause and their accounts should be treated like a regular free account

I've definitely witnessed that too, but I didn't know about that for Ninja situation, I would have thought that was run by him first since that kind of promotion would have to be okayed by the influencer. But, twitch has proven to be unaware about best practices before.

That's even more mind boggling, even just for legal reasons alone you would need to have a formal agreement or additional contract with the influencers for a promotional campaign that large, the fact he wasn't even told just....who the hell is running shit there?
