So, since the shadow-banning topic is spreading everywhere, I figured I'd weigh in as someone who used to manage and deal with high level social media accounts, digital strategy, and algorithm cracking. You ready? Let's goooooo!

Let's talk about the scary looking one first: search suggestion ban. Search suggestion bans are usually given to people who may post highly sensitive or NSFW content. To Twitter, this can be anything from porn to cussing or posting controversial topics on a regular basis.

Is this a shadowban? That depends, did you get the warning? This type of ban usually comes with a twitter warning to e-mail first. It auto selects the NSFW setting in your profile and you can actually de-select it and return your account to normal IF you received the warning.
