Rewording my tweet to be more specific: Friendly reminder to never ever under any circumstances use noise reduction. Not a noise gate. A noise gate is fine.

Well, see, I don’t mean plug-ins that you paid for used tactfully for films. I mean youtubers using built in noise reduction effects to make their VO sound like it was recorded at 3Kbps
