Is there a known issue with transferring large amounts of large files from a Solid State Drive? Mine craps out if I do too much at once. It doesn't corrupt the drive, it just ejects itself like it gives up lol

Windows Explorer is trash at copying large files accross flash memory sometimes. I had to use the command prompt with the xcopy command to back up an old SD card , it kept crashing my windows until I copied the files with the command prompt.
I'm using OSX finder but honestly it's probably the exact same problem

Oh swag, if it keeps failing maybe try the cp command in the terminal.

you know what honestly i think I had the same issue on Linux. Just one of the downfalls of graphical desktop environments I guess
