The definition of Retro is technically “design from the recent past” so even 360, Wii, and PS3 could be considered retro since they are not the “current gen” and are no longer in production.

Car rules say 25 years to be classic, but I think game tech moves a little faster than that. I think once GameStop stops carrying the games in-store it's retro. So not last gen but the gen before.

I declare something retro, if it's vastly different technology, or it's just off the grid. The wiishop closing down is THE reason I consider wii retro from now on. Meanwhile my DSLite isn't retro, because I still actively play on it. CUZ.

For me, it's simple. My first console was an NES. I was maybe 6 at the time. Anything older than when I turned 21 is retro.
