Somehow this tweet devolved into some weird political commentary about games journalism. I actually like Kotaku. I just thought the juxtaposition of both titles next to each other was funny because theyre SO different. I get that theyre from different people. It's still funny lol

Those articles are written by two completely different people.

yeeeeah i know. i just remember it was given a lot of negative reviews back in the day. It feels weird to hear them say it's "still a masterpiece" given the criticism. I for one, LOVED IT.

Only recently started watching your vids. You have some great points on things, but this weird one dimensional view of gaming sites seems at odds with how thoughtful you seem about other topics. It also needlessly feeds into a toxic undercurrent in gaming culture.

To position this comment as my view, let alone “A” view, of ALL gaming sites is insane to me. There’s no agenda here. There’s no politics behind this. It’s just a goof about how much I like mirrors edge lol

I'm the CEO of Kotaku and I'm going to make sure in the future no writers on the site have differing opinions about anything. I agree with you it really makes me sick to see two different people think independently of each other

People who disagree with me live in an echochamber and work in a hivemind but also eat eachother over disagreements

I, for one, hold the same exact opinion on all media that was agreed upon collectively by my peer group when it was released. It's the only ethical way.
