I went to the container store once and I wasn't asked to sign up for their newsletter. I was told that i had to. Because of how easy it was. I told them I would walk out. They let me buy my fight stick housing.
The only thing worse than a GameStop employee asking you if you want a subscription is an Apple employee asking you if you want Apple Care.
