There's a lot of the same question here so: I'm really only cycling my battery because I need to see how quickly it charges for a video. I don't do this very often. Best practices is to bring your battery down past 20% and charge it up past 80% every single time you undock it.

Is not undocking it harmful to the battery? I hardly ever undock my switch and I worry about it

It COULD inflate the battery, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm the same way, docked most of the time. Mine developed a crack by the heatsink lol
