USB 2.0 can still transfer rates up to 500 mbps, so USB should have literally no problems, i actually have a lan adapter for my Wii U at the moment I want to run some tests on the dynamic DNS and google's public DNS and i'll post my results.

Oh and even if they updated their ports to 3.0 I doubt this would resolve the problems the switch is even experiencing, given that 2.0 should be handling speeds short of 150 down/ 10 up just fine.

Interesting that even the ping is so high on the Switch lol That's true that they could throttle USB 3.0 just like they did with 2.0. My hope is that since the speed-ceiling was higher with 3.0 that even if they end up throttling it that they'd raise their arbitrary data cap

Yea nintendo handles throughput HORRIBLY lmao. Test 1 Dynamic DNS LAN Ping 40 ms Up 5.6 Down 10 Test 2 Google's Public DNS LAN Ping 35 Up: 7.8 Down: 10.5 Test 3 Custom service provider supplied DNS manual Ping 23 Up 10.3 Down 8.8 Tested on a 300 mbps/ 30 up environment.

Alternatively, this same test with the same LAN adapter on a PC with USB 2.0 Test 1: Google Public DNS Ping: 9 Down 92.27 Up 31.74 Test 2: Custom service provided DNS Ping: 10 Down 95.34 Up 30.33 They throttle their USB ports, possibly for power consumption?
