I think seeing everyone who has criticism, polite or otherwise, as a "Hater" is one of the absolute worst things I see creators do on YouTube. Nothing holds you back as badly as refusing to improve.

I thinl in general is hard to take criticisms it requires you to really swallow your pride and admit your not as perfect or good as you think you are! a tough pill to swallow i personally have been trying to improve on that aspect

one thing that really helped me was viewing my work as it's own entity, not a piece of myself. That way when someone came to me with a suggestion it felt more like "hey let me help you fight this beast"

I had my first critique on Monday, and it was actually super awesome. I usually get super offended when anyone criticizes me, but it was rad to hear what I did well and what to work on.

Art school taught me the importance of learning the ins, and outs of the tools you use and that opposing subjectivity is not negativity. Also that friends and family will wish that you picked another major.
