My kid is entering middle school next week and I’m so torn. I wasn’t to tell her YEAH MIDDLE SCHOOL IS GONNA ROCK but she already feels betrayed by the time I told her about puberty

This may be because I’m in high school, but I think high school is worse. Especially after realizing the inherent flaws, and not being able to do anything. Your stuck in mediocrity and you know it, and it sucks; It’s four years of wanting to grow, yet feeling stunted as a person.
