I have an unpopular theory about this. I kinda think the whole “not showing up in the sub box” thing is a myth. It’s more likely that they THOUGHT they were subbed but were instead relying on YTs randomly suggested notifications or suggested videos on the home page.
Or they just straight up missed it in their sub box cause there were a shit ton of uploads the other day
