We're witnessing the failure of Black police chiefs & Black cops when it comes to "protect and serve." Black police are part of the problem.

In Baltimore, we had a Black mayor, Black police commissioner, and Black cops involved in the death of Freddie Gray. They too are the issue.
Obviously, having more women or Black officers on police forces won't protect us from the summary judgment of American police.

This is why I increasingly argue that American urban cities are essentially neo-plantational arrangements w/ masters, slaves, and patrols.

The "crops" are taxes, fines, and fees that are extracted by cities to provide capital (TIFs, PILOTs, tax breaks) to corporate masters.
