You lollygag the ball around the infield. You lollygag your way down to first. You lollygag in and out of the dugout. You know what that makes you? Lollygaggers! -Bull Durham

How do you play the game 1 pitch at a time? 1) Self-Control: You can’t control your performance if you’re not in control of yourself. 2) Commit to a Mission: Decide what your mission is for this pitch and commit to it. 3) COMPETE! Let your training/instincts/talent take over.

"During the stride phase, the hips and shoulders should rotate naturally in the opposite directions" Dr. Tony Stellar. Aka the stretch phase, like this! Upper body resists, then is reactive!

Spoke to a college coach who is at PGWWB. Said he was heavy on 3 recruits. Watched them warm-up & carry themselves in games. All crossed off list. Poor actions before and during game and none handled adversity well. Pouters. When are player’s going to learn how much it matters.

99.9% of helmet spikes are selfish jerks that just rolled over to SS on a hanging breaking ball, screaming some fake tough stuff to let everyone know they are totally a good hitter. THIS☝🏻... is the single greatest helmet spike of all time... Send that helmet to Cooperstown.

Summer doesn't mean that you don't still need to follow your training rules and team standards. If you are in this for your team, you need to always put the team first in every decision you make. Make the right choices all year long to help yourself and your team!

The only way to get players to play hard in games is to push them in practice. Not just day to day but minute to minute - make it a constant challenge. There’s motivational things, there’s X' & O's, but the key to coaching is getting them to go after it every play.

Quit trying to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring and besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls. They're more democratic. -Bull Durham
