A8: Employees deserve respect and dignity in the workplace. Employers who grasp this fundamental understanding will be rewarded with higher productivity and employee morale. This is not rocket science. Stop pulling fast ones on your employees! #EmpLawChat

A8: Thoughts on wage and hour changes to the minimum threshold.
#EmpLawChat -
My bet - Acosta will alter the threshold to somewhere between $33-35K. No changes to duties.
#EmpLawChat -
A8: Should be AT least 47K. Minimum wage increase will lift all boats with a rising tide. Consumer purchasing power will save economy, not tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy.
#EmpLawChat -
With the sheer number of employers who actually made the change not suffering, there's a great argument it should be $47K. I just don't see this DOL keeping it.
#EmpLawChat -
I don't believe most small business owners made any changes. Most were in a wait and see position.

"But a whopping 84% of small businesses say they still plan to implement their overtime changes, according to a survey out Monday from small-business network Manta."http://fortune.com/2016/12/05/injunction-be-damned/ …

A8: It is time for employees to fight back against unfair employer practices by using the power over their labor to stand up and say they are not going to take it anymore. We just saw a watershed moment with sexual harassment. More to come.

A8: Employees & unions under attack by
@GOP and@realDonaldTrump. On minimum wage, fiduciary rule for retirement money, overtime rules, persuader rules, etc. etc. Every single one of these actions taken by Congress or executive agencies since 2017 has hurt employees.#EmpLawChatThanks.
