i tried to live off credit my first years in this country.. paying upfront cash for shit like cellphones and a car. thought that was solid economics here.. turns out that if you are not on debt, banks won’t give you any benefits. what a scam.

now i receive the recommendation to get more credit cards to improve my credit score. how the hell is that sound economics? no wonder crypto is slowly but certainly taking over.

well if you don't have a history of paying your debts (because you don't have debts) then it is hard to give you a score. But yeah there should be other factors taken into account, such as net income after bills are paid.

i started getting debt just to get that history written.. but can’t help but to find it very weird to get into trouble to avoid trouble. nonetheless it is also impressive how well the credit system works when i compare it to the lack of credit in my own country.
