    After 16 years, it is STILL primarily Black families in the paths of hurricanes. It is STILL Black families who are forced to live in environmentally vulnerable areas, and who are left on their own when they cannot evacuate...

    We also must remember: climate justice is racial justice. Hurricane Katrina devastated thousands of families in the South Gulf, especially NOLA. Black New Orleans lost so much that, to this day, many have not fully recovered. And now we hold our breath as we witness Hurricane Ida
