I am only (marginally) successful because of Blizzard and WoW. I think speaking up, knowing it will likely cost me my working relationship with them, is action.https://twitter.com/Tyoril/status/1096193579167424514 …

I toured the Warcraft movie set, attended the premier & interviewed the cast, hosted the WoW Q&A at Blizzcon, moderated the WoW panel at SDCC, and judged the community contests...just to name a few. I will likely never be offered opportunities like this again, and that's ok.

It's really important to me to make sure Activision-Blizzard knows the damage they inflicted on the community as whole. We stand with those left behind, not the millionaires at the top.

All of this ranting is useless. All Blizzard is doing is ensuring future success by removing unnecessary filler jobs. Increasing their game development is needed because all their IPs are on a downward spiral. Overwatch and Wow are no longer flagship franchises. That’s the truth.

Layoffs are an entirely intrinsic and healthy part of game development, and most employees should understand that going in. The actual game development teams will always be more critical than the non-development teams. Success in the gaming industry relies on releasing new titles

You’ve likely noticed how fractured and lifeless the communities have become around Blizzard’s games. No amount of community management will alleviate the lack of freshness in their current games. Apex Legends and Fortnire have necessitated an offensive reaction from Blizzard.
