But Heroes isn’t having a sale? Wouldn’t it be misleading to include it?

I was thinking about that too... and I am pretty sure Heroes wasn't part of this sale in 2017 either. I think the optics are just bad because it is so obviously the outlier when everyone else was included. Probably would've been better PR to HAVE something on sale in Heroes :)

I googled and the last Holiday sale I can find for HotS was 2015. They don't do a winter sale, just Black Friday.

Ye. There's nothing to pay for in HotS beyond gems/loot boxes which aren't ever on sale. It's normally just for full games or expansions. This is a weird one for the HotS community to be angry about imo.

It feels like the HotS community is looking for things to be upset at, right now. I totaslly get why people are sad about HGC but its gotten to the point where anything at all from Blizz is used as fuel for the fire and its exhausting.

I think the point is that the optics look terrible. They announced only a week ago that HGC was canceled and they were pulling devs from the game. Then they put out a tweet that showcases all of their games except HotS. How does that look regardless of whether there is a sale?

There is no way this sale was planned, designed, and implemented in less than a week. Unless the marketing and pr teams who made sale info knew about HGC in advance, they most likely designed all of this with only the knowledge that HotS wasn't in it.
